Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join the R&D team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing robust features, optimizing application performance, and ensuring a smooth experience for paid users accessing premium content, advanced tools, and market insights. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and data teams to enhance and expand the platform’s capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs for a modern, cross-platform single-page application (SPA).
• Participate in product design and architecture discussions, contributing innovative ideas.
• Build and test new user-facing features, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to set goals, identify solutions, and improve user experience.

Must have:

• 5+ years of back-end development experience, specifically in Ruby on Rails for large-scale, high-traffic applications.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, MVC design, data structures, and design patterns.
• Solid understanding of Ruby syntax, best practices, and core concepts.
• Experience building APIs with authentication, security, and role-based access controls.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Elasticsearch, CouchBase, Redis).
• Proficiency in Git for version control.
• Strong understanding of server-side architecture, HTTP protocols, and networking.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions.
• Proactive and impact-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HubSpot, Sailthru, or similar systems is a plus.
