Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure to support large-scale data analysis. You will play a key role in managing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehousing while working with cutting-edge technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and NoSQL databases. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to align the data strategy with company goals.

Your Responsibilities
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to identify and prioritize data engineering projects.
- Support data-driven decision-making to improve user engagement and increase subscriptions.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and well-documented data pipelines that efficiently process data from multiple sources, including APIs, data streams, and storage solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and apply performance tuning to manage costs and ensure efficient processing across multiple database technologies.
- Monitor and enhance the performance, reliability, and security of the data infrastructure.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and implement new data engineering innovations to improve efficiency.
- Apply data privacy and security measures to comply with industry regulations and best practices.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in data-focused roles such as Data Engineer, Database Developer, BI Engineer, or DBA.
- Strong Python skills, including experience with data frameworks and AWS SDK.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, with experience across various RDBMS and big data technologies (e.g., Hive, Athena, Spark, Presto, Dremio).
- Deep experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Glue, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration.
- Expertise in data warehousing, including modern platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, ClickHouse, or IBM Db2 Warehouse.
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong software engineering background.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Fluent English – must be able to communicate effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS Athena, Redshift, or Vertica Analytics Database.
- Familiarity with Spark APIs (Scala or PySpark).
- Exposure to machine learning and data science projects.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
