We’re hiring for a fast-growing restaurant technology company with offices in NYC and Tel Aviv, operating globally to empower local restaurants with innovative digital tools. The company provides a commission-free delivery and pickup platform powered by proprietary optimisation technology, enabling restaurants to own customer relationships and improve delivery economics. Key Responsibilities – Mobile App Development Leadership (Android, iOS, Cross-Platform)
- Lead and inspire a team of mobile app developers working across native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift/Obj-C), as well as cross-platform technologies such as Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Take full ownership of mobile app architecture, driving performance, robustness, and seamless scalability across platforms.
- Define technical direction for the mobile team, mentor developers, and ensure adherence to best engineering practices and coding standards.
- Proactively resolve app stability and reliability challenges, including Bluetooth integrations, API latency, and crash diagnostics.
- Work closely with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to deliver high-quality features from idea to release.
- Continuously improve mobile CI/CD pipelines, test coverage, and release processes for rapid, stable deployments at scale.
- Evaluate and implement new frameworks, tools, and technology trends to enhance app performance and developer efficiency.
Essential Skills and Experience – Android & iOS Mobile App Team Lead
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining mobile applications for Android and iOS.
- Proficiency in Kotlin (Android), Swift/Objective-C (iOS), and at least one cross-platform framework (Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform).
- Previous experience leading, guiding, or mentoring mobile app teams in product-focused or startup environments.
- Advanced skills in mobile debugging, crash analysis, performance tuning, and network diagnostics.
- Deep familiarity with tools including Firebase, Sentry, Charles Proxy, Xcode Instruments, and Android Profiler.
- Knowledge of architecture patterns (such as MVVM, Clean Architecture) and asynchronous programming tools (Coroutines, Rx, Combine).
- Demonstrable experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Experience – Mobile Technology and Product
- Exposure to tablet applications or POS/kiosk solutions within mobile environments.
- Practical know-how with integrating external hardware (printers, scanners, etc.) into mobile workflows.
- Understanding of accessibility, localisation requirements, and implementation of scalable component libraries.
