We’re seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to help scale, secure, and automate cloud infrastructure. If you're skilled in AWS, Terraform, and automation, and have hands-on experience with services like Amazon FSx, WorkSpaces, and Zero Trust tools, this role is for you.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build resilient infrastructure, improve security posture, and drive operational excellence through automation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage and improve AWS infrastructure, including core services like EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC, as well as enterprise-level tools like Amazon FSx, WorkSpaces, and Q Business.
- Define and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and manage deployments with Spacelift or tools like Atlantis, Env0, or Jenkins with Terraform integrations.
- Set up and maintain robust monitoring using Zabbix or alternatives like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
- Implement and support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) using Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or solutions like Cloudflare Zero Trust or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
- Enforce cloud security and compliance via Checkpoint CloudGuard or tools such as Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Administer identity and access solutions using IDPs like Okta or alternatives such as Azure Active Directory, JumpCloud, or OneLogin, including user and group policies and application integrations.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to manage infrastructure code in GitHub, or platforms like GitLab or Bitbucket, with a focus on quality, traceability, and automation.
- Improve system efficiency through scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ruby).
- Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure standards, configurations, and runbooks.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS environments in production.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Experience with Spacelift or other Terraform CI/CD platforms like Atlantis, Env0, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Amazon FSx (especially Windows File Server) and WorkSpaces.
- Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust platforms such as Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Cloudflare Zero Trust, or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
- Experience with cloud security platforms such as Checkpoint CloudGuard, Prisma Cloud, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with MDM solutions for macOS and Windows, such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, or ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
- Confidence using GitHub or alternatives like GitLab or Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ruby.
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (e.g., SysOps, Solutions Architect, Security Specialty).
- Experience with hybrid cloud or on-premise integrations (e.g., AWS Outposts, VMware vSphere).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or ISO 27001.
- Background in IAM, SSO, and MFA setup using Okta, Azure AD, or OneLogin.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA, CCNA, RHCSA, Jamf Certified Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator, Terraform Associate, or similar cloud and infrastructure credentials.
